Hello Parents! On April 29, our class is going on a field trip to the zoo. We will be searching for patterns on the animals fur, describing the animals' habitat, naming the country the animals' are from, and explaining what the animals eat. We will be starting a unit called "A Trip Around the World" and will be using the different animals we see and the information we gather to discover what the country is like.

During the field trip, I will ask the chaperones to help the children gather information for animal the student selected. Please read the plaques to them or pick a student to read, help them write down information on the sheet, and if you have a cell phone with a camera or if you bring a camera, take pictures of the animal and email them back to me. I will use the pictures that are sent to me in a slide show to introduce the countries we are visiting. I really appreciate the help I get from all the parents that volunteer their time to better the educational experience of the students.

Here are some pictures the children drew of their favorite animals.

Anna's Monkey

Jeffery's Elephant

Jessica's Giraffes

Dustin's Leopard
